Miscellaneous Writing News• I finished the revisions of Nightbloom, my sci-fi short novel, sent the manuscript a week ago to my agent, who read it the next day (!) and met with me to discuss it rightaway. I just received their edits yesterday. Yes, they work FAST! The goal is to expand it to ~50,000 words (so about 5,000 more words than its current version) by fleshing out a bit more the reader immersion in the world. Besides these improvements, they loved the story and found the structure and plot very solid, and commented on how they see me growing as a writer. YAY! I plan on doing these edits very soon. • This week, Morgan Wodring sent the interior art for The Color of Time to Shiraki Press, and it is GORGEOUS. It consists of a chapter header representing Celadon, a giant snake from a faraway planet at the center of the plot, and a cute little snake dingbat that will be used to indicate scene breaks. I can't wait to see how it looks like in the print version of the book. • I received my 20 author copies of The Seventh Sister and the cover looks so good in print! Seven of these copies will be used for the Goodreads giveaway, and the rest will be hopefully sold at my signing event at Barnes & Noble on March 14, 2026. That's it for today. Thank you for reading and for supporting my writing. Now Available For Purchase |

Dear readers, I hope you're having a great summer and a better weekend than mine. At the time I'm writing these words, my cat Maui is hospitalized in the ICU of my local ER vet clinic. He's dealing with a sudden, very bad bout of feline pancreatitis and his prognosis is guarded; it's a day by day assessment. He's been stable and pushing through it so far, so fingers crossed he gets better with supportive care and time. But he's very sick, so my spouse and I are readying ourselves for the...
